Program Overview
This program is designed to prepare international students for undergraduate education in China. It aims to enhance their language proficiency, foundational academic knowledge, and cross-cultural adaptation skills, laying a solid groundwork for future university studies and for taking the undergraduate entrance examination for international students. Students who successfully meet the program's assessment requirements will be given priority admission into Soochow University's undergraduate degree programs.
Curriculum
Medical, Science and Engineering Track (Taught in English):
Core courses include: Comprehensive English, Mathematics, Physics (Elective), Chemistry (Elective), Chinese Culture, etc.
Arts and Business Track (Taught in Chinese):
Core courses include: Comprehensive Chinese, Mathematics, Introduction to China (Elective), Chinese Folklore (Elective), Reading Comprehension (Elective), etc.
Eligibility
l Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.
l Be in good physical and mental health.
l Be between 18 and 22 years old.
l Have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Application Deadline, Duration & Intake
Application Period: until January 10th, 2026

Duration: 1 Semester (March 2026 – June 2026)
Intake: March 2026 (The specific date will be indicated in the Admission Notice).
Fee Structure
Tuition & Application Fee (Payable after admission):
Tuition: RMB 7,500 / Application Fee: RMB 650
Accommodation Fee:
East Campus: RMB 800 - 900 /person/month (Double Room)
Insurance Fee: RMB 500 /person/semester
